JSPCA & JPAWS have lovable dogs, cats, rabbits and guinea pigs of all shapes, sizes and ages. Your chances of finding a wonderful companion who matches your lifestyle and family are excellent! About 25% of shelter dogs are purebred. The rest make up the best selection anywhere of unique, one-of-a-kind mixed breeds, many of whom have already lived with families and have the basic social skills they need to become an enjoyable part of your household.

 

Did you know?

The Jefferson Protection & Animal Welfare Services (formerly Jefferson Parish Animal Shelter)  in over 10,000 animals per year. An adoption fee of $67 includes spay or neuter surgery, vaccinations, rabies license and tag, microchip, and a heartworm test/FeLV/FIV test, a $400 value (excluding special events where the price is even lower).
